How To Prepare for IBPS RRB Exam – IBPS RRB Examination Pattern and Important Points


IBPS RRB Examination Pattern and Important Points:-

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for Recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The next Common Written Examination for RRBs (RRBs CWE II) for recruitment of Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentative September/ October 2014.

View Notification- IBPS RRB Common Written Exam for Officers and Office Assistant


1. There will be a common paper for both Generalist and Specialist cadres for the Post of Officer Scale-I.

2. (a) Group I: : For States as categorised as “A” and “B” under Official Languages Act , candidate may answer questions either from English language test or Hindi language test.

(b) Group II:: For States as categorised


There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a
question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.


Each candidate will have to secure a minimum standard score in each of the tests and also on the Total Weighted Standard Score. The cut-off points to qualify in each of the tests will be decided based on the average (Average – ¼ Standard Deviation for General category candidates and Average – ¾ Standard Deviation for Reserved Category candidates).
